Poe..Poe..Poetry
Over the next several weeks in language arts, students will be reading, exploring, and analyzing poetry. Each student will be creating a poetry anthology that is representative of him or herself and delving into the deeper meanings behind the pieces of poetry that they choose. While students are working on their anthology, they will also be pulled to work on a series of mini workshops to hone skills presented throughout the year.

Literature Circles
For the remainder of the school year, we will be working in literature circles. Students have been grouped, 4-5 per group, and are reading a novel together. Students have a scheduled number of pages to read prior to each literature circle meeting and then participate in a meaningful discussion about the portion of the book they are reading. Ask your student to tell you which book they're are reading and about what is happening so far.
